The report Blind Seer and Truth brought back after sunrise was discouraging. They had found ample evidence- broken branches, bits of vine, a trail blazed directly through the undergrowth- that Plik had been taken to the unnatural copse of trees that the bracken beasts that had attacked them last night guarded. ( That was where the trail ended, neatly as if it had never been. )
